April9's senior developers assisted with the development of the SPER project and set up scripted infrastructure to supercharge deployment.
In 2019 to 2020 Queensland Treasury contracted April9's senior resources to assist with the redevelopment of the Fines Online for State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER), which the Queensland government uses to register and collect unpaid infringements for Transport and Main Roads, Brisbane City Council, the Queensland Courts, and 9 additional agencies, online. The system was over 15 years old and built using Oracle as many of the Treasury's systems are.
April9's resources leveraged their Azure expertise and knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure to add value to this project. The major milestone achieved by April9's resources was implementing scripted infrastructure using Azure Pipelines to facilitate smooth, automated deployments of the work-in-progress system. Other aspects of the SPER project included enterprise app integration via secure API endpoints and connecting the Commonwealth Bank's BPoint payment gateway to the SPER.
