Insurance companies use Eagers to provision replacement vehicles for their clients in the case of write-offs, amounting to thousands of vehicle replacement transactions every year. Until recently, the tendering and processing these replacement vehicles had been handled entirely using MS Excel files and email exchanges, resulting in delays and unwanted admin burdens for all parties involved.
After April9 was brought on board to deliver a solution, we spent time delving into the business workflows that power Eagers' vehicle procurement process. When we discovered that we could build a Fleet Portal driven by processes and workflows, we knew that big things lay in store. Using Stack9 we were able to easily and rapidly create different entity types, create entity relationships, define different stages of the tender application lifecycle, configure user groups and permissions, and configure automated notifications and status changes based on business rules/specific actions taken by users.
Considerable stakeholder consultation and user acceptance testing was performed in the discovery, development, and delivery phases of the Fleet Portal, to ensure that the features of the Portal met the exact requirements of the end users.
The project was a resounding success and introduced huge efficiencies to Eagers' and their partners' business processes – vehicle tenders which previously took up to 40 days to fulfill are now being processed in under a week. Further to this project Eagers commissioned two new Stack9 projects to help power other business units.
